ECHOES OF ROMANTIC FASHION

Balenciaga, Pertegaz, Pedro Rodríguez and Bibian Blue, among many other leading figures and fashion houses of the 20th and 21st centuries, fill the museum galleries through designs that reinterpret Romantic fashion, generously loaned by the Fundació Antoni de Montpalau.

For three months, the museum spaces host garments in dialogue with the collections and nineteenth-century visual sources that continue to influence contemporary fashion design. In addition, the final gallery presents a selection of figurines and garments by Pedro Rodríguez, who once visited the then Romantic Museum.

The exhibition is accompanied by a programme of guided visits led by the Cultural Mediation team, as well as numerous activities for different audiences (workshops, a round table discussion, a specialised course and a number of additional surprises).
